Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Alaska (FWS) will receive additional funding under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) and is seeking retired federal annuitants with prior federal experience in Engineering Project Management. Duties may include those performed by a Government Engineer, Architect or Project Manager including COTR and PM of design and construction work by A/Es and construction contractors. Write SOWs and prepare project cost estimates; prepare bid packages for design-build or similar projects; oversee A/E work on bid documents; write/update PMPs; oversee CM services; interface with regulatory agencies and stakeholders; participate on IDIQ evaluation panels; review pay requests; resolve project budget issues; monitor project activities and resources for CO; apply communication skills to resolve stakeholder issues; prepare reports, briefing materials/presentations; review project submittals. Verify adequacy/compliance w/ product standards and objectives, project budget, building codes, federal laws, bureau policies; punch-list items and closeout; financial reporting and as-built documentation and working knowledge of MS Word and Excel software. Work will involve travel to field stations to collect data for SOWs.
As a re-employed annuitant under ARRA, your salary will NOT be offset by your federal annuity and you are eligible to earn annual and sick leave.
